These general terms apply when you as a consumer (further stated as "you") make purchases from and uses the website equemist.com and other connected sites (further stated as "the website"). These terms constitutes the agreement between you and The Equemist AB, VAT no SE559407274501 (further stated as "The Equemist" or "we"). By making a purchase and using this website you accept these terms and conditions. The Equemist cannot be held responsible for any circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
At The Equemist, we value our customers and recognises the trust you give us when you provide us with your personal data.
All information that is collected is done so in a responsible manner and with regards to your integrity as well as relevant data protection regulations (such as the GDPR). It is important for us that you feel informed about how we process your personal data and that you feel confident that we process your data in a responsible manner,. You are always welcome to contact us if you have any questions regarding our personal data processing.
There are occasions when we have to process your personal data, and information that may be considered as sensitive from a personal integrity point of view, in order to provide our services to you. For instance, when you shop at The Equemist, we need to verify both the purchase as such as well as the identify of the purchaser. Depending on your chosen method of payment we may need to process your credit card information or perform a credit evaluation. If you want your personal data to be erased after your order is completed, please just email us. However, note that we may need to store some data in order to be compliant with relevant book keeping legislation.
The website uses cookies. We use cookies to personalize your shopping experience with content and ads, to provide social media features and to analyze our web traffic. We may share information about your use of our web site on our social media, with advertising and analytics partners who may combine it with other information that you’ve provided to them or that they’ve collected from your use of their services.
By signing up to our newsletter you are agreeing to The Equemist using your email address to market relevant offers and new releases to you via direct email and/or use your email address to sync with advertising platforms like Facebook to deliver you relevant ads.
All prices are in the currency available for your chosen country. We reserve the right to
conduct any price adjustments, the availability of chosen products, and obvious typing errors at any time. Discount codes cannot be combined with other campaigns unless otherwise announced.
We offer different local payment options depending on your location. All of our payments are handled by Shopify Payments. We offer among other things; VISA, Mastercard, PayPal Klarna and Swish. If you are under 18 years old, you need a guardian’s approval for your purchase.
We want all our customers to receive their order as soon as possible. We always strive to provide a swift delivery. The delivery time however varies depending on chosen shipping method and delivery address.
When placing an order at The Equemist you will receive an order confirmation via email. Once your order is sent you will receive another notification with a tracking number. When your package is ready to collect at the nearest pick-up point, you will receive another email or text message. It is important that you provide accurate contact information to be able to receive these notifications concerning your order.
Products may run out of stock and The Equemist cannot be held accountable for these occurrences. In these circumstances we will contact you and notify you about the situation as soon as possible with information about how we may proceed with your order.
IMPORTANT:
All international orders are subject to customs and duty fees as defined by the country of import. Customs and duty fees are not included in your The Equemist order. The Equemist are not responsible for fees associated with import. All fees must be paid by the parcel recipient. Orders shipped Delivered Duty Unpaid (DDU) and unclaimed or refused by customers will be destroyed by the carrier or sent back to us. The Equemist does not issue refunds as a result of unpaid DDU fees. If you have questions about shipping to your country, please contact customer service.
We offer different shipping options depending on your location: PostNord and UPS.
You are responsible for that the personal data you provide to us is correct and complete. Please note the importance of entering the correct email address and phone number. Failure to do so means that you will not receive necessary information about your order. Packages that are not picked up will be returned to us. Your order will then be refunded except for €35/£35/$35/350 SEK per unclaimed package.
We have a strict no-plastic policy regarding packaging for environmental purposes.
We want our customers to be completely satisfied with their purchase, which is why we offer a 30-day return policy on all orders. If for any reason you are not satisfied with your purchase, you can return it to us for a full refund within 30 days after you have recieved your ordered products.
When you want to return a product to us it is important that we receive the product in unchanged and unused condition. It is important that returns are returned well packed and in the same condition as when the product was delivered to you. Return your product in the same protective packaging, such as dust bags etc., as you recieved them in. We cannot accept returns on any custom-made products or products that have been modified in any way.
We understand that it is important for you to be able to try your bridle in order to make sure that it fits your horse. You are therefore allowed to try the bridle on your horse. However, it is important that your horse is clean when you try it and that you only try it out in the stable and not use it when riding. You are not allowed to use the bridle and then return it. If you want to return a bridle that you have tried on your horse, please make sure the bridle is clean and free from any hair before returning it to us.
We cannot accept returns on any custom-made products or products that have been modified in any way. In the event of damaged returns, The Equemist has the right to charge a depreciation compensation in accordance with how damaged the product has become. This compensation can be up to 100% of the value of the product in case it is not considered to be in saleable condition.
Original shipping fees are non- refundable, and a processing fee may be applied on your return. A refund will be issued back to you by the original method of payment, unless otherwise agreed.
To initiate a return or exchange, please go to our return portal and follow the instructions on how to proceed. Please note that any shipping fees associated with the return or exchange will be the responsibility of the customer.
We are unfortunately unable to help you with a complaint or return regarding any The Equemist products that has been purchased second hand from another customer and not directly from The Equemist.
If you want to make a complaint regarding a product that you bought through us, please go to our return portal and fill out the form. It is important that you carefully describe your complaint and please attach pictures if possible.
In accordance with the Swedish Consumer Agency, you as a customer always have a 3-year right to make a complaint regarding original defects on a product, for example manufacturing defects. Normal tear and wear of a product, any damages to any part of the product caused by misuse, lack of care, negligence, accident, fire, water or failure to follow care instructions are not covered.
Pearls, crystals, clinkers and other decorations on, for example, browbands are fragile and if the decoration breaks, this cannot be considered to constitte a defect on the product and thus cannot be claimed.
You must make a reclaim within a "reasonable time" after discovering a fault with the product. We recommend that you reclaim as soon as possible and at the latest within 60 days after the defect has been discovered.
When the product has been returned to us and been inspected by our warehouse team, you as a customer will be compensated in accordance with the current consumer protection law. Non-approved complaints are returned to the customer. If you live outside of Sweden, you do NOT need to send back your item(s) regardless if the complaint has been approved. The Equemist reserves the right to refuse a complaint if the product does not prove to be faulty according to the current consumer protection law.
