BRIDLE | DROPPED | BROWN No. 07
BRUN
A bridle with a noseband specifically designed for young horses, as it helps the horse stabilize the bit in a soft yet clear manner.
Another advantage is that the noseband features our "cracked" shape and a small cushion on the inside at the nose bridge, ensuring the bridle stays perfectly in place. The noseband is padded throughout. The headpiece provides space for the mane and protects the sensitive temporomandibular joint (TMJ).
The browband can easily be replaced, but it neither slips up nor down, staying fixed in the perfect position.
The bridle is available in sizes cob, full, and x-full, and you can customize the size of each part to suit your horse's specific needs. An orange OCTA pin is placed on the noseband and on the left side of the browband.

Are you unsure about what size to order? Check out our SIZE GUIDE
The bridles are true to size, so if your horse usually wears a full, it’s likely the same size will work for this bridle as well. It’s most common to have the same size for all parts.
If you know that your horse typically needs a bigger or smaller part, you can order the bridle according to what you think is best.
You always have the option to exchange the size of one or more parts after trying the bridle at home in the stable, and we offer free exchanges, so you don’t have to bear the return cost.
However, we do ask that you notify us in advance if you plan to exchange a part, so we can reserve it for you. If you’re unsure, it’s always a good idea to take pictures or a video and send them to us so we can help guide you to the best solution. We won’t rest until everything fits perfectly, so we really encourage you to both film/take photos and brainstorm ideas with us.

DROP NOSEBAND
HELPS TO STABILIZE THE BIT
A drop noseband is often used on young horses to help stabilize the bit. It also prevents the horse from opening its mouth to avoid contact with the bit. A drop noseband should never be fastened too tightly, as its purpose is not to close the mouth, but rather to help the young horse stabilize the bit.
We have also added a cushion on the inside at the front and given the noseband a soft "bend," so it already has the correct shape and stays perfectly in place.
The noseband is padded throughout and rounds the cheekbones without causing chafing, and is placed far enough back to avoid being too close to the eyes.
The strap that fastens under the bit is convex, allowing it to sit gently around the bit without pressing it up into the mouth.
Mitt fram på nosgrimman finns den distinkta OCTA-symbolen.
PADDED IN ALL THE RIGHT PLACES
HEADPIECE that protects the TMJ
The headpiece of this bridle, like all our others, is softly padded along the ear. It features a small "tunnel" where the mane can comfortably fit, but most importantly, the headpiece includes a perfectly positioned cushion to protect the TMJ (temporomandibular joint), which, simply put, is the joint where the lower jaw attaches to the skull. It is considered the most sensitive joint in the horse’s body and can be compared to our temples.
COMMON PROBLEMS ASSOCIATED WITH TMJ PAIN
- Head shaking
- Sensitive ears, head-shyness, reluctance to be bridled
- Tendency to place the tongue over the bit
- Tension in the neck
- Prefers to carry the head slightly tilted
The browband is easy to change but has a fixed position, so it cannot move up or down.

THE HISTORY OF...
BRIDLE No. 07
Karin designed this bridle over 7 years ago, and it has become one of the best-selling bridles in the world. Back then, it was called PIONEER and is one of the bridle models Karin chose to bring into THE EQUEMIST.
Now, this popular drop noseband bridle has been upgraded and improved and is now part of our OCTA CONCEPT. This bridle is also available in a dressage version with round-stitched details.
NEVER FORGET THE LOVE FOR THE HORSE
A drop noseband should never be tightened too much, as the purpose is not to close the mouth but primarily to help young horses stabilize the bit.
