THE EQUEMIST is a Swedish brand, founded in Nyköping by one of the industry's most esteemed bridle designers, Karin Bjärle.

Karin is a true pioneer in the equestrian world, gaining widespread recognition after founding PS of Sweden in 2013. Thanks to her visionary designs, PS of Sweden rapidly rose to prominence as the leading bridle brand in the industry. In 2022, Karin decided to sell PS of Sweden to devote herself entirely to creating premium bridles and riding boots under her new brand, NOOH NOOH.

The name "THE EQUEMIST" is derived from 'Equestrian' and 'The Alchemist,' the bestselling novel by Paulo Coelho. The book's core message resonates deeply with Karin, focusing on following one's dreams and "personal calling," listening to one’s heart, and recognizing that the journey itself is just as meaningful as the destination. It explores what happens when one is determined to pursue their dreams.

During the summer of 2022, as Karin considered the decision to sell PS, the book had a profound influence on her, helping shape her next chapter.
