DROPPED BRIDLE No. 15
Bridle for ponies with a neat, well-fitting poll piece that lies steadily and still on the pony throughout the ride.
The size is specifically adapted for C and D ponies.
The poll piece is specially designed in terms of measurements, function, and appearance to perfectly fit smaller heads with limited space at the poll. Here, you have freedom for the mane and C1, as well as TMJ pads that lift the poll piece away from the sensitive jaw joint. This poll piece differs in several ways from our other poll pieces for jumping bridles in cob - xfull sizes.
The noseband molds around the horse's mouth without locking the bit or restricting the airways. Thanks to the angle of the noseband, the eye area is kept free from bulky buckles, which contributes to both comfort and a cleaner appearance.
The browband has an exact placement and cannot slide down or up. Finally, your pony will no longer have large, bulky buckles at eye level that both disturb the pony in several ways and give a clumsy impression.
You choose which browband to include when ordering the bridle, and can easily switch between different browbands. More browbands are available for purchase separately.

Feather-Light Weight
Thanks to our special design and the manufacturing techniques used, these bridles are significantly lighter than comparable models on the market.
Reduced Poll Load (C1)
The headpiece features a cut-out for the mane crest and the area around the atlas (C1). The bridle remains stable throughout the ride and does not “shift” during tight turns.
Does Not Fix or Lift the Bit
The construction does not lock the bit in place or “hoist” it into the corners of the mouth. Thanks to the noseband design, the straps are positioned safely away from the horse’s eye.
Extremely Sensitive Field of Vision
Ponies have a very wide field of vision and are highly movement-oriented in their perception. Straps moving back and forth near the eye are quickly perceived as disturbing or even threatening.
The Browband Stays Exactly Where It Should
It will neither ride up nor slide down. A crooked browband along the centre line can make the entire head appear misaligned. While function is always the priority, the overall impression in the dressage arena should not be underestimated.

Fewer fixing pressure points provide the nervous system with clearer and more predictable signals.

THE IMPORTANCE OF A
BALANCED NECKPIECE
When the horse takes contact with the bit, the force is transmitted up through the cheekpieces and onto the crownpiece. If the crownpiece is not properly positioned or can move sideways, uneven pressure occurs, with one side bearing more load than the other.
This often happens when the crownpiece is overly padded or when the noseband sits in a loose strap lying over the crownpiece with its buckle on one side. The result is a constant uneven load on the neck, even if the rein contact is balanced.
A still and balanced crownpiece ensures that the bit’s effect is felt more evenly on the right and left sides and that the bridle stays correctly positioned, even in fast show-jumping turns where the inside hand may be used most. Otherwise, the outer-side straps can slide toward the eye, disturbing the pony while the entire bridle shifts its weight/load.
We want the pony to experience consistent and predictable pressure, which helps with frame, balance, and provides steadier support in the hand, even at speed in jumping classes.
Note: Ponies have limited space at the top of the neck, just behind the ears. If the crownpiece is oversized, there is a high risk that the entire bridle will slip. This is especially important in jumping if the pony bolts or stops in front of a fence.
