PONY BRIDLE | PATENT - CRYSTALS, WHITE PADDING | BLACK NO. 12
PONY COLLECTION
FUNCTION & LUXURY IN THE PERFECT SIZE
This bridle, featuring its beautifully designed noseband, has been developed with a focus on balance, stability, and comfort, where every component works together to reduce unnecessary pressure. The construction is not based on fixation, but on a carefully considered fit and clearly defined lines of pull that allow the bridle to remain stable without creating static pressure.
The noseband is available in several designs, allowing you to choose between a simple, classic, and refined look or a more exclusive version in patent leather, adorned with a row of black crystals both along the top and bottom. This results in a noseband that is not only functional but also exceptionally elegant.
The headpiece is balanced to distribute pressure evenly and remain stable without shifting or creating uneven load. The noseband is shaped to protect sensitive areas of the cheek and to provide the horse with improved comfort in the mouth and jaw area, even during longer riding sessions. The ability to adjust the bridle to suit the individual horse and its needs makes it suitable for both training and competition.
The result is a bridle that allows the horse to move more freely, relax, and respond more softly to the rider’s aids, as it no longer needs to compensate for a bridle that moves and disturbs the horse with every stride.
The noseband is fastened with a simple buckle closure, not a pull-back fastening, and the flash strap is fully removable. This means that even the small loop disappears, leaving the noseband clean and free from any trace of the strap.

THE IMPORTANCE OF
A BALANCED NECKPIECE
All horses are sensitive to uneven pressure in the poll area, and this is especially true for ponies, which are often ridden by younger riders whose body control and steadiness is still developing. For this reason, the design of the headpiece is crucial to the overall function of the bridle.
Our headpieces are engineered for mechanical symmetry and stability, without locking or creating static pressure.
Fixed, centered attachment points that cannot move eliminate the micro-rotation that would otherwise occur when buckles slip or are adjusted during work. This ensures that pressure from the bit and noseband is distributed evenly across the poll, rather than shifting from side to side. The result is more predictable and balanced pressure for the pony.
At the same time, the headpieces are shaped to allow complete freedom for the mane. Pressure is guided over, not directly on, the sensitive structures along the midline of the neck. This allows for natural micro-movements in the neck and atlas (C1) without compromising the stability of the bridle.
The headpiece design stays in place and applies symmetrical pressure to both the right and left sides.
IMPORTANT TO UNDERSTAND!
An unbalanced headpiece never remains still; it moves and affects the pony with every step.
DEVELOPED TO PROTECT THE INSIDE OF THE CHEEK
This English noseband has been designed with a particular focus on comfort and protection on the inside of the cheek. The shaped padding creates a deliberate space between the noseband and the horse’s cheek, reducing the risk of pressure, pinching, and sores.
By allowing the padding to work with the natural shape of the nose rather than pressing directly against the cheek, the horse experiences greater comfort. The result is a noseband that stays stable without causing unnecessary discomfort in a sensitive area.
The removable flash strap allows the noseband to be adapted to individual needs and training styles without affecting its fundamental function and fit.
This is a functional and thoughtfully designed noseband that also delivers an exclusive, elegant appearance while preventing sores and pinching. Perfect for a comfortable competition pony!
WILL NOT SLIDE UP OR DOWN
NOTHING THAT DISTURBS THE EYES
Ponies often have shorter, more compact heads than larger horses. This means that the distance between the bit, cheekpieces, noseband, and eye is smaller, so even minor design flaws in the bridle can have a greater impact.
The eye is closer to the equipment
On a smaller head, straps and buckles sit proportionally closer to the eye. If the bridle is not specifically designed for ponies, but merely scaled down from a larger size, there is a high risk that:
- large, bulky buckles end up in or right next to the line of sight
- the bridle slips, vibrates, or moves with each step
A browband that stays in place
Another common issue is that the browband slips and ends up too low, resting on the eye socket. On this headpiece, the browband will neither ride up nor slip down because it is designed with a loop to thread the browband through. Crooked browbands along the midline also make the entire head appear misaligned. While functionality is the most important factor, the overall appearance in the dressage arena should not be underestimated.
REMEMBER!
Ponies, like all horses, are prey animals with a nervous system programmed to react to movement near the eyes. Objects moving in the peripheral vision, especially near the edge of the eye, are quickly interpreted as something requiring attention.
