NOSEBAND | COMBINATION | BROWN No. 98
BROWN
Noseband No. 98 is unique in both design and function, as it provides the combined effect of a snaffle bit and a hackamore. Since the noseband is designed so that the bit attaches to a side piece on the noseband, pressure is also applied over the nose bridge when you take the rein. The height of the noseband can be easily adjusted, which also affects leverage – the higher you place it, the gentler the pressure.
For extra comfort, the noseband features a soft pad on the inside, centered over the nose bridge, and our characteristic “bent” OCTA design, which keeps it completely still and naturally shapes around the horse’s nose. The strap under the bit is convex, resting gently around the bit without pushing it up into the horse’s mouth. The noseband is particularly well suited for young horses and horses that tend to avoid taking support from the bit.
Our bridles and bridle parts are true to size, so we recommend ordering the size your horse normally wears. If you are unsure, you can also use our size chart.
You can always exchange a bridle part for a different size after trying the bridle at home in the stable. Always try it on a clean horse and while in the stable. Please note that you are not allowed to ride in the bridle and then request an exchange. We offer free exchanges on our regular range. During promotions, such as final sales, exchanges are still possible, but the customer will cover any additional shipping costs.
If you are unsure whether the size is correct, you are very welcome to send us photos and/or videos, and we will help you. We want your bridle to fit your horse perfectly, so if you have the slightest doubt, we encourage you to take pictures or film and share your thoughts with us. Contact us at support@theequemist.com.
One bridle – multiple possibilities!
CHANGE YOUR NOSEBAND IN SECONDS
Now you can easily vary your THE EQUEMIST bridle and choose whether to ride with or without a bit. Our hackamore and combination nosebands are designed so you can quickly switch between them, giving you two bridles in one.
Switching between nosebands is especially beneficial for horses that show different behaviors in different situations, or for riders who practice multiple disciplines and want to adapt the bridle’s function to the discipline and training goals.
