ICELANDIC COLLECTION
ROLLED & MINIMALISTIC
This bridle has been developed with a focus on balance, stability, and comfort, where every component works together to reduce unnecessary strain. The construction is not based on fixation, but on thoughtful fit and clear lines of tension, allowing the bridle to stay in place without creating static pressure.
The crownpiece is balanced to distribute pressure evenly and remain stable without shifting or twisting. The noseband is designed to protect sensitive areas of the cheek and provide the horse with better comfort in the mouth and jaw region, even during longer riding sessions. The ability to adjust the bridle to the individual horse and rider’s needs makes it suitable for both training and competition.
The result is a bridle that allows the horse to move more freely, relax, and respond more softly to the rider’s aids – especially in gaits that require a high degree of balance and coordination, such as the tölt.
The noseband fastens with a simple buckle, not a pull-back, and the flash strap is fully removable, which means that even the “small tab” disappears, leaving the noseband neat and minimalist.

THE IMPORTANCE OF
A BALANCED NECKPIECE
The Icelandic horse has a short, strong neck that is sensitive to uneven pressure. That is why the construction of the crownpiece is crucial for how the entire bridle functions. Our crownpieces are designed for mechanical symmetry and stability, without locking or creating static pressure.
Through fixed, centered attachment points that cannot move, the micro-rotation that normally occurs when buckles slide or are adjusted during work is eliminated. This ensures that the pressure from the bit and noseband is evenly distributed across the neck, instead of shifting from side to side. The result is a more predictable and balanced pressure – something that the Icelandic horse’s nervous system tolerates much better.
At the same time, the crownpieces are shaped for complete freedom of the mane. Through careful design, the pressure is guided over the withers and sensitive structures along the midline of the neck. This allows for natural micro-movements in the neck and atlas (C1), without disturbing the bridle’s stability.
For Icelandic horses, where even small pressure imbalances quickly affect balance, tölt, and mental relaxation, this results in a crownpiece that:
- Stays in place without locking
- Distributes pressure symmetrically left and right
- Respects the anatomy of the neck and the movement of the mane
DEVELOPED TO PROTECT THE INSIDE OF THE CHEEK
This English noseband is designed with a special focus on comfort and protection on the inside of the cheek. The shaped padding creates a deliberate space between the noseband and the horse’s soft tissues, reducing the risk of pressure, pinching, and sores – problems that often occur when the noseband sits too close to the inside of the cheek.
By allowing the padding to work with the shape of the horse’s nose rather than pressing directly into the cheek, the result is a noseband that remains stable without causing unnecessary discomfort in this sensitive area.
The removable Aachen strap provides the possibility to adjust the noseband according to needs and type of training, without affecting the noseband’s basic function and fit.
This is a functional and thoughtfully designed noseband for riders who want to prevent sores and pinching and who prioritize the horse’s well-being in every detail.
